About the Department

Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a proficient Engineering descipline that deals with the study and applications of electricity and electro-magnetism. Electrical & Electronics Engineering field first became a profession in the latter half of 19th century after commercialization of the electric telegraph, the telephone, and electric power generation and distribution. The aim of electrical & electronics engineering curriculum is to make flexible for both the undergraduate and the postgraduate programmes. The principal study topics consists of elecrical machines, electrical circuit analysis, control systems, power electronics, electronic circuit, solid state drives, electrical machine design, analog and digital integrated circuits, and measurements and instruments. Electrical and Electronics Engineering uses fundamentals theory and applied science to obtain results to challenging problems in this and related areas. It offers stimulating openings for Electrical and Electronics Engineering in diverse professional careers like transnational companies, Central and State Governments Power Sectors, Entrepreneurship with attractive remunerartion.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 2009. The department is headed by Dr.K.Ramash Kumar with more than 10 years of research and training experience besides highly qualified faculty members with various specializations. The Department trains students to possess sound understanding of the fundamentals of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and flexible, well-developed approach to problem solving formulated in such a way that they get trained for self-employment and to pursue higher education in the core and associated fields. The Department has modern laboratories with equipments, computer associated software. It has qualiffied and experienced faculty members who are committed to impart technical education to students and prepare them to face the challenges of a competitive world.
